What do students pay semester fees for?
With the semester fee contribution to the Studentenwerk, students support the following services: The semester fee is based on the Principle of Solidarity: Semester fees account for around 15% of Studentenwerk Leipzig’s funding. Most of the income comes from the sales revenue of the canteens, cafeterias and student residences (approx. 60 %).
