Our cultural tip for October 2022

„Eigengrau – Ein Lob der Dunkelheit“: An auditory walk through the darkness.

With our cultural tip for October we present "Eigengrau. A Praise of Darkness". On Saturday, 22 October, students from Geräuschkulisse e.V. will be staging a auditory walk in the dark over headphones in the salon of Villa Plagwitz.

The author, composer and sound artist Ludwig Berger will send the audience through four rooms of absolute darkness: a cave, a dark restaurant, a dark room and a concert room in the dark. The aim is to show that darkness is much more than just the absence of light.

Please register for the event in pairs – those who come alone will be provided with a companion. In pairs, the participants will listen to the play and guide each other blindfolded through the real and acoustic spaces. This will be followed by an exchange with the author and the participants about the previous experience.
