There is new leadership in the Administrative Board of Studentenwerk Leipzig: At its meeting on 11 February 2025, the Administrative Board elected Sebastian Schramm, student representative of Leipzig University, as the new Chairman. Dr Jakob Heuschmidt, employee of Leipzig University, was elected Deputy Chairman. He had previously held the position of Chairman.
Alongside the Managing Director, the Administrative Board is the most important body of Studentenwerk Leipzig. It makes important decisions such as resolutions on regulations, the business plan, the appropriation of profits and property transactions. The Administrative Board also appoints committees for specific tasks, such as the Social Committee or the Cultural Committee.
