Our hot culture tip in June hints at an event in the first week of July: On 6 July, the 17th radio play summer at Richard-Wagner-Hain starts. For many years now, Studentenwerk Leipzig supported this festival that is organized with the help of many students. On nine days, radio plays can be listened to together in a very relaxed atmosphere with a picnic in the meadow.
The visual part of the program is filled with readings, concerts and live performances. Studentenwerk Leipzig particularly supports the radio play script contest at which submissions of future radio play authors are read to the audience. The best submissions will be presented at the festival on 12 July from 6 p.m..
