KulturLeben Leipzig & Region
Under certain circumstances, students may also receive free tickets to cultural or sporting events.
KulturLeben Leipzig & Region has been enabling people with particularly low incomes to participate in the cultural life in Leipzig and the surrounding area free of charge since 2012.
The idea behind that: Culture is too valuable to leave seats empty. It connects people and should be accessible to everyone. Moreover, cultural participation is important for a healthy mind.
Information
Students may receive free admission to cultural and sporting events if they:
- a valid Leipzig Pass
- or a statement of housing subsidy
- or a notice of ALG II
- or a notice of assistance for living expenses according to SGB XII.
Our Social Counselling service is a social partner of the project and provides help with the registration.
And this is how it works:
- Download, complete, and print the registration form.
- Make an appointment with our social counseling service.
- Bring the registration form and appropriate proof to the appointment.
- Our counselors will then forward the registration.
The KulturLeben team will then contact you with further information about suitable event tickets.
