The exhibition is part of a series of events on the subject of work, where the collective will turn its attention to the flipside of this subject area: Non-work. The exhibition examines practices of sleeping, resting and savouring. The collective invites visitors to immerse themselves in another world in which sleep and laziness are the ultimate goals of capitalist production. An interactive installation of alarm clocks allows the pleasure of pressing the ‘snooze’ button for as long as you like. The performance on the opening night is conceived as a visceral representation of the tension dictated by the clock and the calendar between societal expectations and the individual’s struggle for self-care.
